I watched TV that Sunday (22nd) night just to see an RCA CED VideoDisc ad.

I finally did, later in 1981, I was at a video store and they were playing a music video CED w/SFT100.

A projection TV was providing an audio output from the RF input which was connected to a good audio system, it was memorable to see the CED image so big and to hear the fairly good CED mono audio.

I bought several CED videodiscs over the years although I didn't buy a CED player until 1984-10 (SJT-090).

Kirk:

I was planning to write something about this occasion today. What is every one planning to do to celebrate this ruby anniversary? I wish I could watch a CED today, but I am working on fixing up my only CED player, so I'll just have to settle for something else.

I played my Flash Gordon CED earlier today, my old Dolby Surround receiver provided good surround sound from the stereo audio from my SJT-300, the occasional "scratchy" sound of audio dropouts and interference didn't seem to confuse the Dolby ProLogic decoder.
