Have an SFT-100 which plays fine but when off will not pass the antenna signal through to the TV. Any ideas? |

As in the old fashioned RF cables that were used before AV plugs?
As in VHS video recorders outputting to TV, via RF coaxial cable rather than phono plugs?
If so; because your TV, despite having an RF (antenna) input, your TV will not be able to decode an analogue RF signal from a CED player.
There is a way to do it though. |

Watch my SFT100 all the time on my Hi-Def LG TV on channel 3. Problem is when the player is off it will not let my TV antenna signal pass through. |

I'm just working from memory but I believe there is an actuator inside that moves a switch inside the unit when the play control is moved to the play position, and then moves the switch to the other position when it is placed in the off (or what ever position it's in when playing the tv)position. It could be something has happened in that mechanism. It also might be that internal switch is dirty . The service manual isn't going to offer much help it states "move lever to play position and back to off position to varify proper operation" As you move it it just slides that actuator back and forth and it's possibly something has come undone and/or that switch may be dirty. When you actually see it you'll understand perfectly what it's doing. My sgt 200 manual has a small picture of the actuator rod and clip. |
