Hi Folks,
Would anyone know if it is possible to obtain the circuit and or service manual for the above Hitachi CED player.

I, too, would like any documentation for the VIP201P player. I have one and its internal mechanics are completely foreign to me when compared to a VIP1000 player.
P.S.
Changing the loading belt for the mechanism to raise the disc is an adventure I wish on no one. The player is nice in that it has an IR remote control and has built in stereo circuitry.
If anyone has a service manual for the VIP201P, would you be willing to send it to me and I will have it scanned? I will post the PDF file on the laserdisc forum (lddb.com) for anyone to download. Of course, I will return the literature back to you with many thank yous.
Also, I have the operating manuals for the VIP201P, VIP1000 and the VIP2000 players that I can have scanned if there is any interest.

Okay, I will take the 3 manuals with me next time I go into town (within the week). There is an office supply store there who has done scanning for me in the past and they have done a good job on every scan I have given them to do.
By the way, the Operating manual for the VIP201P includes the VIP202P player and when unfolded is 8 pages long.

Tbe operating manual (user's manual) is now posted on the lddb.com web site. It covers the VIP201P and the VIP202P players. Enjoy
The VIP1000 and the VIP2000 user manuals will be posted in the next 2 weeks (I hope).
