An unusual player offered to Forum CED hobbyists. This is an SKT400 factory Pilot sample. The Pilot was an early factory production run on a new model. The run was a limited number of players. They were carefully examined by Quality Control and then distributed to RCA engineering and marketing and to VIPs. The Pilot Samples were never sold. They are identified by red serial number labels. This example was owned by an RCA engineer and it has been in storage for some time. It has been fully serviced and checked. It came with no stylus cartridge so a new stylus has been installed. An included accessory is a rare all black body Digital Command Center Remote.
