Richard Sonnenfeldt, who was Vice President in charge of RCA VideoDisc Operations from 1974 through 1978, is featured in an article in the current issue of Long Island Press:

This article deals mainly with his experiences in Nazi Germany and as chief interpreter at the Nuremberg Trials.

His best-selling book in Germany "Mehr Als Ein Leben" has now been revised for release in English under the title "Witness to Nuremberg" with major emphasis on the rise and fall of the Nazis:

This new book does not contain the full chapter on VideoDisc, but the text of that chapter is available via the link on Richard's Who's Who in VideoDisc page:

Among other things, this chapter describes the competing demonstrations of LaserDisc and CED in the mid 1970's. Here's a picture of Richard demonstrating the RCA Engineering Model 2 VideoDisc player in 1975:

If you happen to be near New York City, Richard will be speaking at the the New York Tolerance Center (50 E 42nd St.) on November 30, 2006 at 7 PM.

Last week, Richard was interviewed on the WNYC radio station. You can listen to the interview or download a podcast on this page:
