|
|
| I just inherited about a thousand discs and five players. I'm new to the whole ced world and I am having trouble when I hook them up. I have flatscreen televisions and when I watch a movie it is fine for a while but it starts acting strange after a few minutes. It acts like it has a bad connection and if I move the ced players around the screen turns different waves of colors. I've tried different players and tvs. The flatscreen in my bedroom seems better but the quality seems like it could be better. Any info or help would be appreciated. |

Do you have an RF modulator? Do any of your players have RCA jacks for video and audio, like a VCR or are you using the coaxial connection?
Which models do you have and use, and are you sure your stylus (needle) isn't worn out on any of them? _________________ A New Vista of RCA Victor COLOR! |

| Some have coax and some have the rca jacks. I've tried both. The coax is worse. I don't have a rf modulator. The stylus are new. I replaced them. The tvs are a Sony Bravia and a toshiba. Both are flatscreen. The toshiba works the best. The Sony is the problem child. The ced players are sgt-100 and a Sears 934.54810350. The sears has both rca and coax options. The sgt-100 only has coax. |

If you still have a VCR, try using the ANTENNA IN for the coax and the RCAs for the output to the TV.
PS You should be using either NTSC ch. 3 or 4 for the coax to the TV or VCR regardless. Also, the 100 has a antenna line in to allow for passthrough when the player is stopped/off. This may not work well with a modern DTV setup, not sure, but sometimes an RF modulator helps (if you have an older videogame console you might have one and not realize it)... _________________ A New Vista of RCA Victor COLOR! |

| I tried an rf modulator and nothing changed. I'm going to try an old TV and see what if it changes anything. Thanks for the info. |
