I recently bought an SJT 400 from a man on eBay - in a PM discussion, he mentioned he had TWO of them, only one of them doesn't work. He offered to sell me the broken one for parts if I was interested. I asked what's wrong with it, and he says it doesn't load discs. Everything else he can only guess still works. He is the original owner of both units.

Is this a common issue? Is the repair difficult? Are there replacement parts available?

I am starting a CED collection and the SJT 400 is the only player I intend to ever have. That's what I say now... but... we'll see.

probably just a load belt issue, belts are easy to get for the rca models

the belts are easy to get, but it takes time. either you can send a self addressed stamped envelope ( for return of the belt ) to tom

Sadly only when I order bulk Sad I wont be for a hot minute. He will have to do the sase to Tom from here!

CEDatum stocks all the belts for RCA CED players, including the belt for the SJT400.

Thank you guys very much. I'll call the seller in the morning and see if he still has it available. When he mentioned it, he didn't have a price in mind. He was just curious if I was interested. I think they go on eBay (broken) for about 60 bucks. Maybe he'll cut me a deal since I'm already ordering from him and we may be able to save on shipping.
