I agree Tony, especially since it is highly doubtful they would even work. _________________ SGT-250

I paid $100 for memories in cellophane, I can never ever justify spending even half of those marked prices. I wanna just message them and say wtf? They have been on there a while too, like the goonies. I get so frustrated with these kind of dingus' _________________ I dont own

Crazy! Being an avid VHS collector, I see the same thing with certain titles and distributors. The big box format that was popular is wildly insane as is some of the "Shot on video" titles that came out in mid and late 80's. I have seen some auctions end in the thousands of dollars! Ridiculous!
Many of us tapeheads feel the same way you guys do about the CED format. It's plastic and PVC/Carbon not GOLD in a caddy! |

i agree certain titles will fetch 50 or 100 or 200 dollars, but they have to be un released, or test pressings, etc... all the movies i want are big bucks all the sudden, that's not right... the fun is in finding them, but not paying for them lol _________________ (2)Sears 274 & 934(80150,10&11350), sft100, sgt250, sjt 090-400, vp550, VDR3000, VP2000 & 4000

I've gotten both TCM and Zombie for under $30 on ebay not too long ago.
Some folks just have a good imagination. |

Hi Guys,
It's been a while since I've been on here. I've been looking at the copy of The Goonies linked above... but I agree, if I was going to pay that kind of money, I'd want it to look new! _________________ Matthew

Hey Scott, those high priced discs everyone is complaining about are being sold by your good friend Nikki Gunz. lol
I'm not sure if he is on this forum but he is on the facebook pages. He's a riot. He'll post a photo of 3 or 4 copies of Zombie which he no doubtly got for very cheap and then post links to his ebay sales where he is selling the crappiest looking one for $125 or some nonsense. If you ask me it's hilarious. I mean more power to him if some rich idiot wants to pay that much for a junky disc that one could find for like $30 as Rix says. But really all he is doing is driving the prices up on the lower priced discs. I agree with Ryan, it's the thrill of the hunt, not finding discs on ebay that others have already found. Where's the fun in that. |

Titles like that AND reasonably priced will sell better. Actually, there is more money in reasonable prices. Titles measured across measure 31 feet...only a couple of duplicates here. Not that I want to sell, but selling would be a nightmare. And they won't be on the bay asking for too much. CRAIG |

Um yeah, the ridiculously priced Goonies, i got that!!! Funny story. My girlfriend was telling me i should get her a great birthday present. Jokingly, I texted her, "buy me Goonies on CED and I'll get you whatever u want" She texted me back in less then a minute and said, "it's on its way, you better get me a great birthday present" (she had never seen Goonies or watched a CED)
LOL!!! I never expected her to order it, it was my way of avoiding her talks about her birthday. That plan backfired on me, but we did have a date night and watch Goonies together. |

I have remarked elsewhere that it was Chinese New Year a while back and too many people drank away the rent.
The tax penalties for not having a health plan cannot explain it as the wags are wont to parrot...but it's tax time, and Lottery Fever is to be found all over eBay, Craigslist and many places. It's sad that people do this as it doesn't sell anything and makes you look like a fool to a lot of forums users who then post the link to show what an idiot this guy must be.
On the other hand there are sellers who do this as a mater of practice, as if they were some demented auctioneer. Both of them KNOW it will go to DOLLAR BILL before taking off to some figure, but they do it anyway online, even though it takes a few cycles there compared to maybe a minute and a half among a crowd of 50 at the local auction...eBay doesn't work like that as there is no pressure.
So HAIL to the Lunar New Year Loonies, and watch the fun.
PS Some people just love self-masochism. _________________ A New Vista of RCA Victor COLOR! |

You'd have to ask about the condition of the player...conveniently left out unless I missed it.
The discs are priced well vs. eBay but without the condition of the player or visual evidence of it working in the ad it might take a while.
The Star Trek titles alone may be a draw. _________________ A New Vista of RCA Victor COLOR! |

"It's a mad house! A mad house!"
There are a handful of titles I'd like to have on CED, mostly horror, and in some cases I can understand the cost, or the want for a collection, but I'd be hard pressed to spend more than $50 for a CED. |
