That price is too rich for my blood. I would pay maybe $15 to $20 for it tops. Not too long ago, I sold the same remote to rixrex (I think) for about $15. Also, I just bought a remote for a Sanyo player for $15 off E-bay the end of October. So, $69 is WAY TOO HIGH!!
When the seller reposts the remote, maybe he will come down to earth.

what do you search for in your looking for a remote? i mean specifically? i cant seem to find ANY wired remote... im trying to reverse engineer a remote for my zenith player and i wanted to try to convert my sears to a wired remote with a parts player i have...

I search with the phrase: "ced player" and I get CED players and player remotes. The wired remotes are rather rare and pop up on E-bay maybe every other month. What is interesting is that the Hitachi remote has 5 pins in the male connector and the Sanyo remote has 8 pins. Makes you wonder what is different about the Sanyo player. Oh yes, the Hitachi remote has 6 function buttons and the Sanyo remote has 8.

The seller reduced the price from $69 to $29 and I jumped for it. The price was still a little high; but, you strike while the iron is hot.

Oh yes, you can also search with the phrase "RCA selectavision". (There are some CED players that do not have CED in their title.)

I paid $29 + $7 shipping for the remote. The price was a little high; but, it was better than $69.
What I am trying to do is collect the remotes used by those CED players that used a remote. I now have the Hitachi, Sanyo and (eventually) the Realistic wired remotes. I have the wireless remote used by the SJT-300 player coming, too.
I will have to go to CEDmagic.com and determine what remotes i will have to keep an eye out for. (Oops, dangled one of those darn participles).
