|
|
Raintree tells me the mechanism seems to be okay after the wreck but that it had a damaged case and I need to find an SJT or SKT 100 front panel to finish it.
I seem to recall that perhaps one of you also needed this part, I am not in a rush and will stand in a queue for one, but I just want to finish it and get the cartridge maybe for Christmas.
I will put a request on my local Craigslist and audio forums as well. I have no problem about buying one, it will probably be September unless a trade is possible...I wanted a Rixrex Frankenstereo so I'm glad that's all I might need to do.
Thanks. |

honestly, i think any face plate would work, but the player might lack the side and audio function indicators even though the led slot is present. _________________ (2)Sears 274 & 934(80150,10&11350), sft100, sgt250, sjt 090-400, vp550, VDR3000, VP2000 & 4000

Yes, that's what Dad wanted since the player case was wrecked and he felt the internals were fine. He wanted to use a 100 facefront so that all functions would be available, since the player was made from a combintion of a 300 and other models. It would still be unique in that there's no 100 stereo models. I suppose he also was thinking about a 100 cover as well, unless he has one around somewhere. I'll have to ask... |

Pretty sure I've got a 100 around here somewhere. I will have to double check. I know I had 2 or 3 around here at one time. I'll get back to you. |

Thanks, and remember that it would need to go to Rix. |

See who needs parts other than the front end, spread it out across the membership and ask Rainbow for specifics as to what's needed. That's the best way to make use of it without things sitting around.
You can recoup more from it that way as well. Please email me at some point, Josh. |

But is this a working player? Dad is looking for one not working to use the case from. |

I asked Josh to see if he can part it out amongst the members who might need parts. |

At any rate, I do need to know what I'm supposed to do here so I can see about doing that. |

Any further news? Josh? What else do I need to do or pay? Raintree says Rix will take care of the shipping, which is really great of him and really helpful as I don't get a lot for a fixed income per month.
I've sent emails...no response. |

Bumping this after almost two months...
Raintree says he hasn't seen the parts...sent you another email asking about what happened etc...
I may not be very busy here but I check every other day at LEAST and I've been very busy decluttering my gouse and two sheds, making the Christmas cards and CDs for an audio forums site for the third year, getting my house ready for what seems to be a cold coming winter and keeping bills paid. Hibernation is not a member of the UN. |

Sorry I don't get on here much. I'm actually in the process of repairing about 10 players and I will be selling them. If you just want the SJT100 for parts I could certainly send it to you without a stylus for cheap. I was hoping to get them all up and running and list them for sale so I can box them all up and ship them all out at the same time. I just want to be rid of all my extra players laying around. I don't have the room to store them and I'd rather they go to a good home where they will be used and appreciated. As far as the SJT100 did you want the whole thing or just the faceplate, or just the case or what all are you looking for, as it would be cheaper just to mail that. Let me know. Thanks.
Did you say you emailed me because I haven't seen any? Unless it goes in my junk folder. Let me know your email and I can send one to you, that way it won't keep going in my junk folder. Thanks.

Josh, ask Raintree how much he needs...
The email was dated 10/22 with the subject, "Whatever happened to that CED chassis?" and Raintree said they would take care of the cost to get it sent, so if you could please get ahold of him?
