hey guys, i figured it would be nice to send RJ a card while hes layed up for awhile, but instead of everyone mailing a card, or one card getting mailed around, i was thinking i would get a big card and sign it for everyone, does that sound good?

if you wana be in on it, leave your name and location below, and ill include it on the card!

Was saddened to hear about his accident. I do not know him well but he has answered a few questions for me and has always done so without making me feel like a fool. Thanks for that and hope he has a speedy recovery!

TEXT CLARIFIED AT RICK'S SON'S REQUEST AND I APOLOGIZE FOR ANY CONFUSION, IT WAS NEVER INTENDED

Me neither, and his wife told me her son would get back to me about the Frankenstereo 090's whereabouts, of which it's been at least a week and I've been really busy finally passing a housing inspection and clearing this house up so I could function and have a home another year, among 14 other things so I haven't really been able to find out one way or the other.

She's just not very talkative, which I can and can't understand at the same time. The more limbo, the less likely I'll ever find out and I was told BY THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT DISPATCHER it would probably be a civil matter, which I said wasn't even what I wanted to know in the first place and being hundreds of miles away the last thing to even come to my mind anyway.

(That wouldn't even make sense to do and I'm over a thousand miles away, I don't even own a car)

If it's smashed to bits so be it, or if the insurance company owns it, the same. I'm just trying to keep off of toes and frayed nerves and it doesn't do any good any way you slice it.

ADDENDUM: There is a criminal investigation as to the cause of the brake failure on the truck that hit Rick's car so the contents cannot be released until then.

I now fully understand these things and apologized to his son in an email today. I'm not in the slightest way upset with Rick, how could I be, he had nothing to do with anything but for being in the very wrong place and suffering this tragedy?

I'm not nor have I ever been in a hurry to get the player back in light of the accident, I merely needed to find out what happened to it. I assume it was destroyed in the accident. I don't expect anything back monetarily or otherwise, I would be resigned to it being gone. If it did survive it has a paid tag for it's return courtesy of a friend and it would get here eventually.

I hope that this clears things up for his family adequitely and again, I apologize. There are things I could not express well and I should have refrained from those and I regret that.

RJ's wife just sent an email:

"I hope I am reaching the members of the CED club who sent the get well card to my husband Rick, whom you all know as RJ. We appreciate the consideration and it was welcomed very much at a time when it was needed and appreciated. We'd appreciate it if this could be passed on to all of the members please.

I apologize for not writing sooner, but I’m sure you will understand. Besides the accident, my son and other family members had to take over running our income tax office until the end of tax season. That ended only a few days ago.

His condition has not improved much in the last two weeks, and it looks like a long period of physical therapy will be needed for him to return to his former self. I hope that he will be able to contact you sometime in the near future, but he does send his appreciation for your thoughts.

I cannot answer any of your specific notes, but if you need to contact us for some reason, please feel free to send an email to our son, Chris, at this email address: (If you need it I will forward it).

Chris has our permission to handle things, and he is planning to perhaps join your membership so he can place messages on our behalf. I know Rick had some materials that were to be sent out or in which some had an interest, and Chris and his uncle will take care of that".
