I have purchased players from Rick in the past. His wife emailed me today and said he was in a bad auto accident, was rear ended by a truck who had failed brakes. She said he was expected to survive. Let's all send prayers & good thoughts to Rick & his family.

That's terrible. He was so helpful to me here on the board with great information that helped me get two units back up and working. Such a nice person.

That's horrible news, RJ is such a great guy. I hope he recovers soon. It's hard to hear stuff like that when it's people you know on such a personal level. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.

I found out yesterday that he was apparently transporting the Frankenstereo 090 to Fedex when the accident occured and his wife said she was sending her son to check on the car to see if it could be found.

My best guess is that the insurance company owns the player with the rest of the car but I hold out hope.

Oh no this is terrible news! I do not know RJ very well, but he was very quick ans generous of his time in trying to help to find some movies I wanted. Very sweet guy from what I heard around here..

Hope he gets well fast!

I am very sorry to hear this news. I hope he is making a successful recovery & that his family is doing all right. Hopefully, he will be able to make a return to the CED community soon.

Last I heard was a few weeks ago from Scott. I think he said he had got an email from his wife that he was doing better but is going to need lots of physical therapy before he even begins to get back to normal. This page just isn't the same without him. I wouln't be opposed to sending him a care package or something if anyone wanted to join in. (besides the card Tony sent, thanks man.)
