I have recently acquired a SFT-100 and would like to replace the turntable belt. I have read the warnings about stripping the screws and I do not seem to have a small phillips screw driver that is sufficient to remove the screws. Can anyone point me to a screwdriver that would be able to remove these screws? Perhaps an item reference from Sears or specification number or other source?

RCA used countersunk + screws made of soft metal. If the screws have not been removed since the player was new, you may have only ONE chance of getting them out without damage. Use a new P1 driver with a hard tip. I recommend a VESSELL P1 ( 75mm or 100 mm long ). This is a Japanese make and has a slightly more acute angle than others that is a good fit to the original screw.
This job is enough to make a sane person swear !
Good luck - John at CEDatum.

For screws that are already stripped, the Sears "Screw Out" tool has worked for me in removing them. See my post on this subject in CED Digest Vol. 8 No. 50:

The turntable yoke screws are easy to damage. Replacement screws are now available. The screw is RCA stock number 149093. Two are needed for your player.
The same screws are used in the SFT100(w), SGT075, SGT100, SGT200 and SGT250.
CEDatum has these screws in stock. They come in a packet of 4. The replacement screw is higher quality than the original. It is made of hard stainless steel.
