Yeah that one didn't gp very far.
So how about this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280926295120&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123
Not a CED player but I think all can appreciate this listing. It's an LD/DVD combo player, a good model, but NO remote & NO manual, and NO free shipping. That's almost $1100 above what I'd sell mine for with remote and manual, and free shipping. Plus I think they went for under $1000 when being cleared out at the end.
Oh, forgot about inflation. |

Ha, I got mine for $799 back in 1998, and later bought a used one for a back-up for $60. For that price it should include the region-free modification which can be easily done with those. Of course it's rather obsolete as a DVD player now, LD playback is good though mine had a problem with skipping while playing side B, had it serviced twice for that. Using an LD-only player right now. _________________ Videodisc and stereo sound- there's no better value around! |

I've heard about that side B skipping problem before on the LDDB forum.
Seems like it could be something as simple as dirt or a particle in the rail for that side. Ine person even stated they found a piece of sand causing it. |

Beetle, I had a long talk with the number one LD repair guy in the USA, and this is what he told me about the DVL 700 playback problem when it goes to side B:
Well, there's an inside detect switch for side B. There is also a plastic arm that activates the switch. The arm is moved by the optics. It stays in contact with the optics for about 2 to 2 1/2 minutes. The problem is the arm will act like a brake and "hold" the optics from moving. Scanning is possible because of the higher drive signal to the motor. I remove the arm and VERY carefully file down the angle where it contacts the optics. Must be careful, too much and the detect switch won't be actuated. I gave all this info to the regional engineering office with the hope that the part would be re-made. However the part number never changed and the problem still exists. I check every DVL player by monitoring the DC level of the tracking error signal during the first few minutes of B side play. If there is a drag on the optics there is a spike in the DC level of the tracking error signal as the tracking coil tries to keep up with the non moving optics.
Maybe this is something your buddy can take care of as well? I had the problem with a DVL 919 and fixed it not by filing, but by a little lubricant, and now it is just fine, though it may crop up again later and need relubed.
Anyway, I still like the DVL 700 styling and it does play great with super picture quality. Plus it has all the output options anybody would ever want. |

I find it hilarious that the seller refuses to write out all of "Zorro, The Gay Blade" and instead only put Zorro.
Yes. It could just be laziness or an oversight. But looking over the seller's profile, umm... I doubt it. |

I don't see how that's an issue with this seller.
I'd say if you asked the seller to write it out completely, and he or she replied NO, then it could be a refusal. |

The only "perfect and genuine match" of a VCR for an HDTV would be one that plays D-VHS tapes! Looked at the seller's negative feedback comments too, pretty funny. _________________ Videodisc and stereo sound- there's no better value around! |

A rare CED player, but not the best deal. They even call it a Laserdisc player. |
certainly the ugliest of all the players too lol _________________ Sears 274 & 934(80150,10&11350),sft100,sgt250,sjt090,100,101,200,300,400,vp550, VP4000!
