CED VideoDisc and Player Discussion

For free to the early bird: 14 (mostly) alphabetized boxes of CEDs. Mix of duplicates from two private and two rental collections. C, U, R and a few VR. For some reason I lost the lists of boxes 7 through 14 (oops!) but I can email photos of those spines to anyone interested. Must take all (and sorry to "flood the market") - spouse says they must go! I know a guy on a Dead Formats facebook page who collects CED's that lives in Newark, NJ. Not sure how far that is from Northern NJ but I just messaged him and let him know about it. Hopefull he will be willing to go get them and maybe even distribute some.

Thanks for forwarding my offer.
Newark is about 45 minutes from me, so very do-able. Because I wanted to give CEDmagic members first crack (and because I'm lazy), I haven't offered these anywhere else. If no bite from Newark, I'll put'em up on Craig's list. Any other suggestions?

Well as of yet he hasn't returned any of my messages. I don't know how often he checks his facebook but I thought it was pretty regularly. I would think he would be interested but who knows I guess. I will let you know if I hear anything back but by all means if you gotta let 'em go don't let this hold you back. Thanks for letting us all know and I wish I lived closer. Have a great new year.

Just a heads up. I heard back from the Facebook guy I know in NJ. Turns out he is visiting France right now and didn't say how long he would be. He also told me that he doesn't have a car so he wouldn't be able to go get them anyways. So it sounds like he is passing on them. Best of luck getting rid of them and I hope they go to a good home. Sorry I couldn't help.

Found the Craigslist ad here.

For me, it would be about 8 hours and 500 miles round trip, with tolls, using a pickup truck to get all 14 boxes.

Yeah didn't take him long on craigslist. I saw it up one day and gone the next. I saw he had $12 on the listing. I wonder if he got it? lol

I posted the ad to craigslist around 2 am and awoke to a reply from 5 am. He came by and got all the discs into a 4-door sedan and gave me the $15 I had asked. Too bad no one from this forum was close enough. I do continue to get two or three spam responses daily from craigslist, even though the post is down. I seem - apparently - absolutely facinating, but not once has any of them invited me to see their CED collection!
