Tom Brokaw, anchor of NBC Nightly News since 1983, is retiring on December 1, and lately he has been doing retrospectives on his career, with the one tonight on technology advances of the last two decades. I didn't see any CED stuff, but clips of classic computers like the Apple LISA and Commodore PET were shown. A video of the technology segment is presently available on the MSNBC web site:

When CED was introduced in 1981, Tom Brokaw was host of the Today Show, and he presided over the February 25, 1981 closed-circuit TV introduction of the CED system:

There will be a 2-hour Dateline special on his career Friday night (9pm, 8pm central). No guarantee that CED will be mentioned, but Mr. Brokaw did spend some time with it back in 1981, and CED would be a good tie-in to the current popularity of DVD.
