It should play stereo discs just fine.

Watch my SFT100 all the time on my Hi-Def LG TV on channel 3. Problem is when the player is off it will not let my TV antenna signal pass through.

Have an SFT-100 which plays fine but when off will not pass the antenna signal through to the TV. Any ideas?

Does the visual search forward & reverse work well and is there speed identical.

Look for a switch that trips when the tracking arm moves into position.

Has to be a mechanical adjustment that controls the stylus landing.

Remove stylus cartridge. Hold cartridge so stylus is pointing down. Release the spring that keeps the stylus up in the cartridge. The stylus must hang straight down, not to one side or the other.

Discs play better on the second time around. Take care of the stylus because they are no longer available. Try to find one on Ebay.

I know it's in the very back, maybe down low. It looks like a cogged timing belt. It is rather large and orange in color. These tend not to go bad.

Your right, got it backwards. Repaired a few of these over the years and that does seem to be a problem sometimes.

Just change the belt and that will fix the color shifting in and out.

Color shifting issues are usually a turntable belt issue. It is sllipping. Order a new one from CEDatum.

The price is not out of line for that player. I guarantee it will need new belts because the old ones would have turned to goo by now. The belts are easily obtainable from CEDatum.

Just curious. Anyone own a CED player before they owned a VCR. I had a CED player and Laser Disc player before a VCR.

Try to drill it out with a small drill. This will relieve the pressure on the female part of the jack. If it still won't come out try a screw extractor.
