ok, I can get it moving using batteries. The only reading I can get on either lead now is 9v ac. I cant get a dc reading. How often do the transformers go out?

let me guess, its not a universal motor/servo and I cant get one?

OK, here is what I have discovered. The servo motor does not appear to be working. I marked the shaft to see if it turns. It is not. Both leads have 2.4v DC on them.

not yet. just found out my shower was leaking and the sub floor was hanging on by a thread. thats a priority right at the moment. ill post something as soon as i can get back to it

The 3 caps didn't work. Back to the drawing board!

I have found on the pc board that sits up to that the 2 blue axial capacitors (2200mf and 1500mf) are puking. The black one in the middle has a burn where the lead goes in. Some smart butt put the cap ...

It looks like the stylus is touching and it does go up and down when the pause button is pushed.

Yes I removed all the parts. I even took the vac to it and got as much dust off of it. The original disk that was broke was cracked from the center to the outside. It wasn't shattered into pieces.

Ive tried to email Darrel several times over the last 2 years, he never returns them, therefore I figured its a scam.

Does anyone have this on dvd? Reason im asking is because my player is not working, keep getting outbid on stylus, and NOBODY repairs/refurbishes these players.
