You need to replace the stylus with a known good working stylus to make certain that is what it is. That's the first thing to do in this situation. Or get your stylus cleaned/rebuilt by CEDatum.

NOS stylus can still be a problem. It may not even be NOS, just a stylus in a box that was used. Unless the box was sealed?

If the servo motor is DC, as I recall it is, you can connect a battery to it to test it's response.
I've had to do this to test the J/K function motor in the past.

The o-rings are more durable than any belt of the same size you can buy, don't dry out and hold their shape through lots of use, but they aren't flat so they need the flat belt as a supplemental belt ... |
