in the cold i would think the lube on the disc might stiffen enought to cause skipping etc.
like an LP record storing at room temp on their edges is best.

i'm 68 and was a tech for a rca/zenith dealer at the time CED players came out.
our rca school diploma was all we needed to be zenith authorized.

not too many machines came in for us to repair ...

recently i shipped both carts to CEDatum.
their conclusion was that both styli were good but needed cleaning and one flylead need to be re attached.

i know an SGT 250 is supposed to use a 154100 cart.

my SGT 250 needs a new cart and the worn one has a 149000 sticker on it.
next to the trap door where the cart sits is another rca sticker t ...
